TABLE ON TEN, A WILD ESCAPE FROM NEW YORK CITY

Just a few hours from New York City in Bloomville, a tiny crossroads town  in the Western Catskills, there is  Table on ten, a creation of  the carpenter Justus Kempthorne and the former model Inez Valk-Kempthorne, escapees from Manhattan.
The restaurant serves breakfast (Meyer Lemon marmalade on buttered toast, eggs in a nest with bacon), lunch (baguette sandwiches and salads), baked goods (lemon and lavender cookies, Dutch speculaas), pizza on weekends, and a lot of coffee and herbal iced tea. On Saturdays, it hosts a farmers’ market.
Table on Ten is also  a three bedroom inn:  the character of all three rooms has a rustic feel with a twist of modernism, and decor that is characterized by calming, neutral colors.
